Victor Wang is a curator and exhibition-maker based in London, born in 1983 in Vancouver to Chilean and Taiwaneese parents. He holds an MA in Curating Contemporary Art from the Royal College of Art, London. Most recently he was appointed by the K11 Art Foundation as curator of the exhibition ‘Inside China – L’Intérieur du Géant’ (Shanghai Station), a travelling and collaborative exhibition between Palais de Tokyo, Paris, and K11 Art Foundation. Currently, Wang is the K11 Art Foundation curator of the 2016 collaborative exhibition between the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, and the K11 Art Foundation. He recently curated the performance exhibition ‘Ensemble sin órganos’, the first all performance based exhibition to happen at the Centro de Arte Contemporáneo Wifredo Lam, Havana. Wang has worked on curatorial teams for biennials such as the Twelfth Havana Biennial (2015), and the Vancouver Pavilion at the 9th Shanghai Biennale (2012), and has an upcoming exhibition at MoCA Pavilion, Shanghai, in 2016.
